We cut changeover time by treating it like a pit stop: pre-staged, color‑coded single-use manifolds on a cart and a 3-minute water “dry run” to verify valve alignment before CIP, which consistently shaved about 15% off downtime. If single-use isn’t in your validation, @Mina, quick‑connect hard piping with tagged gaskets and an ATP baseline swab at first rinse got us close to the same win.
I had good results with a warm-hold step: as we drain, we recirc 45°C WFI through the jacket and give a 10s N2 sweep on the headspace so the steel stays above dew point; SIP ramps about 12 minutes faster and the vent filter stays dry — just re-run the filter integrity test after. @Kara does your skid let you stage jacket heat during transfer?
